Major Festivals
Apart from the usual religious festival of Diwali, Eid, etc., the state of Andhra Pradesh conducts four festivals every year. The Visaka Utsav in January is a celebration of the arts, crafts and cuisine of Visakahapatan district. The Deccan festival in February, is a celebration of Hyderabad's arts, crafts, culture and cuisine. The Rayalaseema Food and Dance Festival in October displays the arts and cuisine of Rasyalaseema area of Tirupati in Chitoor district. The Lumbini festival in December celebrates the Buddhist Heritage of Andhra Pradesh.

Places to see: There are several places to see and visit in and around the city of Hyderabad. The Charminar is the hub of the city, has four wide roads radiating in the four cardinal directions. Golconda, Warangal, Bidar and Nagarjunakonda are excellent excursion options. The Chowmukha palace, The Mecca Masjid, Rang Mahal, Husain Sagar Lake, Salar Jung museum etc. are places of interest.
