Day 2 - Pick up the next morning at 08:00 for an adventure in the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sand, with dunes rising up to 200 meters. First you will visit Wadi Bani Khalid, famous for its clear deep blue water followed by a visit to small pretty villages embedded in the mountains. Picnic lunch taken en route in the Wadi. Afternoon drive back to Wahiba Sands to see breathtaking red dunes and check in to your camp and prepare for dune bashing and sunset in the desert. After sunset return back to camp for dinner and overnight stay. Day 3 - Depart camp at 08:00 and visit one of the Bedouin houses in the desert, drive to Sur Town and visit Dhow factory after which we proceed on the coastal road back to Muscat, stopping at Wadi Shab and the Bimmah Sink Hole with picnic lunch en route. Visit Wadi Bani Khalid famous for its clear deep blue water and small pretty villages embedded in the mountains. Picnic lunch taken en-route in the wadi. Afternoon proceed to Ras Al Hadd and check in at the hotel. By 20:30 transfer to Ras Al Hadd turtle conservation area to see the turtles coming out of the sea to the beach to lay their eggs (entrance fees not included in the package). Return to hotel for overnight stay. Day 3 - Depart at 08:00, drive to Sur Town and visit Dhow Factory, then proceed on the coastal road back to Muscat, stopping at Wadi Shab and the Bimmah Sink Hole with picnic lunch en route. Day 2 - Breakfast. Depart at 10:30 in four-wheel drives to experience one of Oman's wonders. High in the mountains there are many caves with spectacular views. Drive up to the mountains and then take off on foot with the help of local Omani guides to walk this dramatic route. The walk will be about two hours with picnic lunch taken en-route. You will end up at the mouth of an enormous cave, and after setting up camp, you will take the chance to explore a little deeper before having dinner. Overnight spent in your tents under the stars. Day 3 - Next morning after breakfast, take a walk further inside of the cave if you wish, before heading back to Muscat, arriving at the hotel by approximately 14:30. Rest of the day at leisure. Oman has a wide range of climbing routes and locations making it suitable for people of all levels and experience and even families.
Day 2 - Pick up next morning at 08:00. Head to nearby climbing wall to kit up and have the instructor asses your level and availability. Try a few routes here before breaking for a picnic lunch. It’s then time to head interior just one hour out of Muscat for an afternoon of climbing some new routes near a beautiful wadi. This is where we set up camp and spend a night under the stars. Day 3 - Spend the day climbing to your heart’s content, learning and perfecting your technique under the careful watch of the instructor. Head to the nearby wadi water pools for a refreshing dip to relax and cool off over lunch before heading back to Muscat. This is a reasonably demanding trip, moderate fitness required. The castle displays the highest achievement in Omani ceiling painting & beautifully executed woodcarvings. Enroute to Muscat visit the pretty village of Birkat Al Mauz situated at the foothills of Jebel Akhdar (The Green Mountain). Enjoy a walk through its oasis and dense date plantations. |
Transfer from the Muscat hotel to the pier side to embark on a boat as we search the seas for Dolphins and Whales. Watching wild dolphins is a thrilling way to start the day and the lucky may even come across one of the many species of whales that can be found just a few kilometres from Muscat’s rugged coast. Not every trip guarantees a sighting, but you are sure to enjoy a trip out to sea and enhance your knowledge of nature’s most fascinating marine mammals. This tour along the coastline to Sur offers breathtaking glimpses of the blue waters of the Gulf of Oman offset by pristine white beaches. Our first stop is the Bimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. On clear sunny days while driving along the coast one might chance to see sharks in the deep blue water or fleet footed Gazelle sprint across the landscape. We also stop at the beautiful Fin’s beach. The pretty Tiwi village provides a surprising contrast with its lush green wadi and plantations. The ruins of Bibi Miriam’s Tomb can be seen at the village of Qalhat. Visit the Dhow building yard. A full day tour along the Batinah coast. Our first stop is the Seeb Fish Souq by the seaside. Drive through the date palms to the sparkling springs and Fort at Nakhl. Visit the beautiful Wakan Village famous for its terrace farming. Our next stop is Wadi Abhyad which has large patches of white sedimentation and when translated means white wadi. The drive winds through the mountains with small pools of water dotting the wadi bed. |
Drive to the foothills of the Jebel Akhdar mountain range. Our first stop is at the Nizwa Souq famed for its Antiques and silver jewellery. A brief photo stop at the Round Tower Fort before proceeding ahead. Our next stop takes us to Wadi Nakher located in the depth of our deepest canyon. Visit Misfah a pretty mountain village with stone dwellings still in existence. While heading for Jebel Shams stop at the terrace farming village of Wadi Ghul. In the Jebel Akhdar range Jebel Shams the highest peak offers a spectacular view. |
