Known as the Bride of the Red Sea, Jeddah is the economic and tourism capital of the country, and the second largest city after Riyadh.     The city of Jeddah is located on the west coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the middle of the eastern shore of the Red Sea south of the Tropic of Cancer. To the east are the plains of Tihama, which are considered the low heights of the Hijaz region. To the west along the beach there are parallel chains of coral reefs.

  • Climate

    Jeddah has a hot desert climate. Over the course of the year the temperature typically ranges from 18°C during the winter to 39°C during the summer, rarely going below 15°C or above 41°C. The summer season lasts from May to October, while the winter season lasts from December to February. Due to its proximity to the coast, the city does experience light-to-moderate winds for much of the year.
